3A little cheapness spoils a basically good design.

This is a small, folding picnic table with two benches that all fold flat against the table. The table itself is fairly small, fine for two people but tight for four. The frame seems reasonably sturdy as do the benches. You don't get the sense that this thing is going collapse and hurt you because it is so cheaply put together. It sets up quickly, you basically unhook the benches from the table and slide four small poles into the table legs and you done. Four normal sized, reasonably thin adults would be very, very cramped sitting at the table with these benches. So if it seats four as claimed, then two of the four better be small children. For two people it would be fine, and if you had two other chairs in addition to the benches, I could see maybe four people playing cards around this table, but really no more than that.

When folded up it is reasonably compact, but not as light as you might think. It is fine for car camping situations where you don't have to lug it far, but you wouldn't really want to carry this vast distances.

The top of the table and the top of the benches covered in a thin plastic layer, and underneath that there is what looks like a piece of thick cardboard, which is obviously not waterproof.

Given how people likely to use this product (car camping), the exposed cardboard is a pretty big flaw. Basically this is not really outdoor furniture as it arrives. It is picnic furniture that can be outside in nice weather, but should not be left out in the rain or wet under any cirstances, because extended exposure to any kind of serious moisture will eventually ruin it. Even in nice weather, when you camping there is often dew which covers everything in the early morning hours, so why they think they can get away with using cardboard that isn't protected against moisture for something people going to want to leave outdoors is beyond me.

I now totally see why that other reviewer ended up having to pitch this because the bottom got all moldy. It got moldy because the bottom of the table top and benches is made of plain cardboard and can't be left outside. How much would it have cost Coleman to put the same simple, cheap plastic protective cover on the top onto the bottom, fully sealing the cardboard against moisture? $0.50? $0.80? Almost all the cost of this product is in the aluminum frame and such, which they didn't really skimp on at all. But they got greedy here and put out a product with an obvious design flaw.

If I thought there was something better out there, I'd definitely return this, but since I can probably remedy its biggest flaw well enough for occasional car camping with some spray waterproofer, I will end up keeping it. But if this review makes you decide not to buy it because you don't want to deal with that hle - well then Coleman gets what they deserve.

Buy this ONLY if you either going to (1) just use it for picnics in good weather; or (2) seal the bottom of the benches and the table top yourself after you get them to protect them against being ruined by exterior moisture.

1VERY DISAPPOINTING!!
@_*Rogers Will
Sadly, this item is advertised here on get as being 70" by 24", which would be a nice sized family table for camping. I imagine though that it's not get's fault for the misrepresentation, cause Coleman has those dimensions written on the package. However, the actual dimensions of the table 35" by 24". So literally, it's only half the table it should be....

1MOLD grows under the table & benches BEWARE
@_*ALR
Bought the table for outside our RV. It is SMALLER than they claim - good for two people but NOT FOUR. Still it looked nice and easy to set up. However, BEWARE not to let it sit outside - or be exposed to humidity for very long without checking the undersides of the table and benches for MOLD.
Evidently the underside material is sub-standard. We were very disappointed in discovering MOLD on the table/benches. We've had the table set set less than 6 months but because the MOLD was so extensive we going to have to throw it away! The table and benches would probably be okay if you plan to use and keep them in a climate controlled setting at all times.
