I used it as directed. spray it once on clean shoes, spray it again when it dried, then spray one last time after it has been worn in wet weather.

The water beads up and just slides off the shoes. I was walking on wet gr in the rain and my shoes stayed dry and clean, altho wet spot did start to appear when I ran through a downpour.

It does what it says, however, it does make the color of your shoes slightly darker and it does smell like nail polish (so do the spraying in a well ventilated a). I have never tried other brands of suede protectors, but for ~$5, it is definitely worth the price.

UPDATE: I think the spray stops working after you wear the shoes for 3-4 month. My shoes got wet when I was walking in the snow...or maybe it's a bit too much water for the protector...

UPDATE 2: Wver you choose to buy, it has to be waterproof AND stainproof. I tried another brand of waterproof spray after this. While that works, the boots got dusty/dirty after 1 week. Let me tell you, trying to wet a pair of freshly waterproofed boots for cleaning is NOT fun...

Therefore, this is the best I found, because it is waterproof AND stainproof.

This is a great product. I've used it to waterproof 3 pairs of boots. I always test the product on a small part of the boot before spraying, but the only noticeable difference is the suede darkens right after it is sprayed. However, this is not visible once it dries. Just make sure to use it in a well-ventilated a because it does smell strongly. None of my boots have leaked yet, but you do have to remember to re-apply every so often. I waterproof my suede boots at the start of winter and anytime after they get really wet (once they dry).

5A must to weatherproof your boots

Purchased this to waterproof( stainproof) my gals' suede boots. After a few applications, the boots still look like they out of the box, but water rolls right off.. so when they get wet, no worries about water marks or salt stains.
If they get more than water on em, rinse off and good to go.. I bought 2 bottles so i can reapply after a month or two.

Followup a year later... ive tried other less expensive waterproof products but none have compd to Kiwi ..just bought two more bottles after wasting money on a compeor product( Melatonian) that just didnt work at all. changing rating to 5 stars.. wont ever try any others...
